Introducing Your New Neighbourhood Inspector for Brixton & Clapham

Hello,

My name is Darren Watson, and I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Neighbourhood Inspector for Brixton and Clapham.

I will be starting this role on Monday 20th July 2026, having moved from leading neighbourhood policing in North Lambeth, I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and reassure you of my commitment to neighbourhood policing and to the communities we serve.

Neighbourhood policing is about building strong relationships, understanding the issues that matter most to local people, and working together with residents, businesses and our partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, prevent harm and improve public confidence.

My team and I are committed to being visible, accessible and responsive. We know that the best results are achieved when we work alongside our communities, listening to your concerns and focusing our efforts where they can make the greatest difference.

Over the coming months, you'll see us continuing to be out and about at community meetings, local events and engagement opportunities across Brixton and Clapham. I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible, hearing your views and continuing to build on the strong relationships that already exist within our neighbourhoods.
